I have very great friends, who live in Chichester and I wanted to find a different and interesting present for them ! After searching through the internet, this experience really stood out - fabulous creatures and a glorious walk across the South Downs !
I phoned the extremely helpful owners, to see if they would do a gift voucher for my friends, so that I could send it to them from France. This was all sorted out with no trouble.
My friends went on the walk last weekend and, as soon as they got back home, my phone was ringing ! They absolutely adored it all - the animals were gorgeous, all with differing personalities and traits - and the walk through the woodland was beautiful.
I am sure they won't mind if I say they were older ladies but they said that this would be a brilliant experience for all age groups.
My friend bough some mitts made from the alpacas' wool and they were told all about the shearing process, the cleaning of the wool etc, etc.
The greatest recommendation was that they all said that they would definitely do it again and will be recommending it to all their friends.
I can't wait for my visit to the Uk next year, when I will be cuddling an alpaca myself !!!

Peta had helped him to organise the proposal and even bought a bottle of my favourite champagne for us to enjoy after the walk, nothing was too much trouble and they were so hospitable.
The alpacas are gorgeous creatures, very fluffy to stroke and we had a great time walking them, I particularly enjoyed Baron throwing himself into the bushes from time to time to have a good scratch. The setting is absolutely beautiful and the alpacas clearly have a wonderful life there.
We couldn't recommend Dunreyth enough, it will always hold a very special place in our hearts and we'd urge anyone to visit.

βA great experience!β

Me and my boyfriend came here as a surprise for his birthday , it was something very different and we both enjoyed it. The owners are very passionate and knowledgeable about the alpacas. We arrived and were shown our alpacas, we then went on a 45 minute walk with them around the surrounding country side. Once we got back we had a look in the gift shop which was great, we both bought a mug with a photo of the same alpacas which we had walked, this was a great touch. I would highly recommend this experience to all age groups if you fancy something a little different and memorable. if you are using a sat nav then beware as it may take you to the wrong place. Thank you for a great experience.

We had a beautiful day for it, walked slowly for about half an hour where we then hand fed the alpacas and got to see some beautiful views before walking back down to the farm.
Would definitely recommend, itβs a lovely thing to do.

Get away from it all... by taking an alpaca for a walk. That's how wifey and I summed things up when we booked our walking sessions. Worth every penny and set in beautiful country surroundings. The owners Bruce and Peta are very knowledgeable and engaging which made our morning visit an occasion to remember. We took Baron and Dartagnon for a scenic 50 minute walk and discovered how alpacas are generally very well behaved animals. Great for adults and kids. Drinks and light snacks available along with toilets and a shop selling items made from alpaca wool. Before you set off to visit, use a map website (like google maps) so you know where you're going as its a little off the beaten track and they're not allowed to erect signage. Well worth a visit and we hope to visit again soon.

βWhat lovely company for a walk!β Sunday 31st May - Not the best of weather but once you're in the company of these lovely animals - Peta & Bruce - you forget all else. The Alpacas are pretty good as well! A friendly welcome from Bruce, followed by a comprehensive safety briefing. Outbound, Peta led the leisurely walk with a Llama and five Alpacas following on behind, with their 'temporary' owners - Alpacas are nervous... read more »

βAwesome walk!β Booked this as a surprise for my brother and sister in law! Well worth visiting as Bruce and Peta are very passionate about their animals and it would seem this is reciprocated. I was lucky enough to lead Alfie - what a character he is. The walk is through some woods and the views towards Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight are fantastic. Definitely will be returning with our granddaughter. Visited May 2015 read more »
